Creating Modules

The first step in using your D2L course shell is to create modules. Modules provide the organizational structure for the course and house all of the content that you upload, link, or create. While most modules are organized by weeks, they can also be personalized by topic, project, resources, introductory materials, or classroom community spaces. Once modules have been created, they are listed in the course's table of contents and provide the structure for your class. Modules may also be re-organized, renamed, and hidden at any time.

Creating a Module 

  1. Select Content from the course navigation bar.  
  2. From the left-side Table of Contents menu, select Add a Module
  3. Press Enter 



Including Module Descriptions  

  1.  After creating the Module, you can set dates and restrictions and add a description.  
  2. Once the dates and descriptions are added, select Update.
