Transition to Canvas
Our transition to Canvas is a phased rollout designed for a smooth move from D2L:
Spring 2026: Foundation – We begin with technical configurations, including SIS integration and university branding, to build a secure, ready-to-use environment.
Summer 2026: Migration & Training – We start moving D2L course structures into Canvas and launch faculty professional development workshops and resources.
Fall 2026: Canvas Pilot – A selected group of faculty will lead the first live courses in Canvas to refine the experience before the full launch.
Spring 2027: Full Go-Live – Canvas becomes the university’s exclusive LMS. All instruction moves to the new platform as D2L is officially retired.
