Transforming Zoom into a Classroom

Do you have challenges teaching in Zoom?  What if you could make your Zoom classroom more like the physical classroom? This fall Saint Leo will be piloting a new product called “Class”.   Come get a sneak preview of this great new tool that will take your Zoom classroom to the next level. We will be exploring the updated interface, new teaching and learning tools, classroom management tools, participation tracking, and more. This session is Thursday, July 8th at 12:00 p.m. Register for this event on our calendar of events.

This July, the CTLE also offers the final two Courses for Teaching and Learning for the 2020-2021 academic year. Beginning July 19th, Applying UDL Principles and Guidelines in Course Planning – CTL 235 and Collaborative Notetaking – CTL 123 will be offered in a self-paced delivery format. Participants in CTL 235* can expect to gain an understanding of the principles and guidelines of Universal Design for Learning and how they apply to planning lessons, choosing materials, and assessing learning. For faculty who are interested in fostering unique and effective elements of collaboration in their classes, CTL 123 introduces strategies for planning and implementing collaborative notetaking in any modality.

For these final CTLs of the summer, please register before July 19th. Faculty who complete self-paced CTLs will earn digital badges and points for the Faculty Leaderboard

*Please note Introduction to UDL – CTL 115 is a prerequisite for CTL 235. Haven’t taken CTL 115? Reach out to the friendly CTLE team to discuss the opportunity to complete both courses in July.
