These last few months have left many of us feeling a bit like we were attempting to climb a mountain. We’ve experienced dynamic shifts in nearly every aspect of our lives, and teaching and learning environments have presented us with both unprecedented challenges and unexpected opportunities. Now, as we begin thinking about what our fall classes will look like, we want you to know that we are here to support you every step of the way.
To help you navigate these new models of teaching, the CTLE has designed a comprehensive, multipart plan called Summit 2020: Educating Effectively in Every Environment. Summit 2020 is an ongoing effort that includes virtual sessions and workshops, multimedia resources, instructional guides, self-paced professional development opportunities, specialized trainings, and the facilitation and support of teaching and learning conversations. The offerings will be delivered on a variety of topics, everything from teaching to technology, and will be relevant to the best practices in hybrid, distance, and online learning. Our goal is to provide you with personalized, continuous support and the opportunity to work with colleagues to plan, collaborate, and reflect on what it means to be an educator in 2020.
While we have several events planned for fall, Summit 2020 kicks off this summer with live virtual sessions on D2L and Zoom essentials, self-paced and facilitated Courses for Teaching and Learning, and the addition of robust, multimedia instructional information on the CTLE website. More details about our June and July offerings, as well as registration information, can be found on our events calendar.
