Tech Tip Tuesday: Recap and What’s Ahead

Wonder how to create or adjust your gradebook in D2L? The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence hosted our first Tech Tip Tuesday for the Fall semester, with Christina Hewitt, from Learning Design, presenting on the D2L gradebook.  She included some great tips on adding and adjusting items, creating bonus grade items, and adding feedback.   If you missed the session, you can find the resources from it on the faculty website.

Kahoot!

Kahoot is a simple to use technology that is fun and provides immediate feedback for students in the class. Students use their phones or computers to interact immediately with the professor in a quiz or trivia type format.  Participants will learn how to create a Kahoot and how this easy to use technology can be used to introduce new material, interact with lecture, or provide a review for material.  Presented by Randall Woodard.

Microsoft Forms

Microsoft Office Forms is part of Office 365. Office 365 Forms allows users to create Survey, Quizzes, and polls. Users can share & invite others to respond to it using in all browsers or mobile devices. Creators can see real-time as users are submitted. Forms has built-in analytics to evaluate responses, and export results to Microsoft Excel for further analysis or grading quizzes/tests.  Presented by C’Lamt Ho.
