In D2L, transferring content from a course or development/template shell to another course is quick and easy. You can choose to copy an entire course or select specific components to copy, such as content, grade items, assignments, quizzes, & discussions from one course shell to another.
Copy Select Components
Select the D2L course that you want to copy materials TO, and select Course Admin in the navbar.
Select Import/Export/Copy Components.
Select the Search for offering button.
In the search field, type course keywords to locate the course offering, then select the Search button. Note. It is not necessary to enter a search term, but it may help to narrow your results.
In the search results, select the radio button (option) next to the desired course offering course (select the D2L course that you want to copy materials FROM), then select the Add Selected button.
The selected course will appear within the Copy Components from another Org Unit section. Select the Select Components button.
Select the box next to the desired category from your original course, and select the radio button (option) on either Copy all items or Select individual items to copy, then select the Continue button.
If the Select individual items to copy option was selected, choose the Expand All link, and check the box next to the item that you would like to copy, then select the Continue button.
Select the Finish button on the Confirm Components to Copy. Note. If the Copy all items option was selected, select the Finish button.
On the Copy Course Components History page, wait until the status bar has changed to a checkmark, indicating that your course copy is complete. When the copy is completed, you can either Copy Another Package or View Content. Note. You can delete any content you do not want to include in your course after the copy is complete.
