Instructors can use the Assignments tool to create and edit assignments, see learners’ submission times, view submissions on the Evaluate Submission page, associate assignments to rubrics and competencies, and return submissions with grades and feedback.
Inside the course, navigate to Activities in the navbar, select the drop-down arrow, then select Assignments.
From the Assignment page, select the assignment from the list to grade.
Inside the folder, all of the learner (or group) submissions display in a list. Each submission displays the date and time it was submitted and the amount of time it was late, if applicable. From within the User or Submissions tab, select a submission link to grade.
In the document viewer, view or download the submission. Many file formats are compatible with the document viewer, e.g., Microsoft Word (DOC, DOCX), Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX, PPS), Adobe Acrobat (PDF, PDFS), Web (HTM, HTML), Plain text (TXT), Images (BMP, GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG).
Use the built-in Annotation Tools to mark up submissions using highlighting, free-hand drawing, shapes, and associated commenting. Or, Download the submission and leave feedback within the files, then upload them back into the appropriate assignment so they appear as attachments to each learner's submission evaluation.
Note. Observed in person and On paper submission will not display the document viewer. Instead, the size of the evaluation panel will be increased.
In the Evaluation and Feedback section, enter and Score and provide comments and suggestions in the Feedback section field (optional, Add a File, Record Audio, or Record Video).
After grading is complete on a submission, select Publish (if a grade item for the assignment was created, the score will appear in the grade book after the score is published).
Select Back to Folder Submissions to return to the Assignment page.
