How is the renaissance man's passion different than the common man's passion? Either way, there has a to be an inspiration in order to successfully complete a task. Relate it to going to school. If you are taking classes that you hate and have no interest in, then you will put in only the minimal amount of work just to barely scrape by, but if you are passionate about the classes you have chosen to take then the extra effort will come naturally, and, therefore, the outcome will be more successful and spectacular. I don't think it necessarily should be considered that the Renaissance artists were more inspired than anyone else of their time, they just recieved their inspiration and created beautiful things that have lasted over the years. There are others who recieved their inspiration from leadership and did wonderful things for politics, or others who were inspired by using their hands and created clothing or jewlery.
