I also agree, especially with Caitlin and her comment about nature. The beauty that surrounds us is inspiring, but every once in awhile, I open my eyes and I am really set back by the things that are around me. This also applies to being inspired to create or perform. Sometime when given an assignment, I stare at the question with such a closed mind, that no thoughts can come out. I need to find inspiration within as well as opening my mind to options. So thus, I agree, it does take inspiration and being exposed. I feel it was both of these that led the people of the Renaissance to create brilliance that gave the era its name.
