I believe that artists do recieve inspirtion from real life things but it definetly takes something from within to see these objects as inspiring. I know that sometimes I will be in my driving to school through the country with my windows down and I am filled with such wonder. There is something about being outside in nature that can inspire. Then again though most people who take that same route are not admiring the scenery, they are thinking about how they are running late or why the idiot in front of them is driving so slow. So I really think that in order to be inspired one must be open to things around them.
