I think that while there is a scientific way to create a landscape, or portrait (as Dr. Reynolds wife taught us), i don't think that fine art is a true science. if we followed the scientific method for creating a piece of art, we would certainly create something that could go by the title "art", but a fine art would be something that would turn out to be a mix of both scientific AND creative origin.
