Hey guys, maybe you can help me make since of Galileo's thought on the existence of the universe. From the reading, I come to understand that he wasn't in complete agreement with Aristotle's theory that the universe is infinte, created by a being from nothing, but whatever is infinite does not exist. However, Galileo says time is finite, therefore there is existence. He says that God created the universe in time, so does that mean that he thinks that universe is finite? Because he also said that the universe is corruptable, but will not corrupt because of God.
