I do not see Columbus and Vespucci as greedy individuals, but rather men who saw an opportunity for success and worked to get it. If that makes me like every other American, then oh well. I believe that life is about taking open opportunities and making something of yourself. They may not have been the nicest of men, but they definitely were successful, even if by mistake.
