I like your comment about an everyday mother as a "Modern Renaissance Woman." I would have to agree that mother demonstrates many of the characteristics of a female counterpart to a courtier. Not only does she have the strong and desirable characteristics of a male, but she is also able to manage my parent’s property as well as run our household. Although she doesn’t hold a paying job, she is very well-rounded and knowledgeable in numerous areas. In my opinion, a woman with characteristics similar to my mother’s, is more of a modern renaissance woman than Jennifer Lopez. I am appalled that someone would even hold her to such high esteem. Although she is famous, I don’t believe she holds enough virtues to be respected in this regard. Her sex appeal and fame is not enough to call her a modern renaissance woman.
