Achilleus is a man of action. He is a warrior. It does not fit Achilleus' character to sit at home angry. He belongs fighting for his people. In this case if he fights successfully for Agamemnon he will receive many great things including respect, property and seven Lesbos. Odysseus knows Achilleus is a warrrior and he especially knows that without Achilleus their odds are very low of victory. Odysseus is doing what is best for the people of his country.
