Achilleus couldnt just solve things on his own, he is just one person. trying to take on a ruler with armies behind him isn't the best idea. I think going to the gods was a smart move, Achilleus made up for his lack of man power with his prudence. I dont think going to the gods was weak, i think it was smart.
