Information security is an essential part of any business plan and managers need to be aware of the principles and methodology of managing information security. This course provides an in-depth view of the management information security for government corporations and other institutions. Students will develop information security plans for sample organizations.

Materials:

Students will be required to bring a USB storage device to class, including the first day of class.

Students will require access to a computer with Microsoft Office 2017, 2013, 2010, 2007, or 2003 in order to complete their homework assignments.

As time permits we may do some hands-on security related scripting in Python 3. The IDLE Python interpreter is available as a free download at the www.python.org website. An excellent free wiki-book on Python is also available for download.
